Marilyn Earl Neal

MARILYN WYMAN, a marriage, family, child therapist, has been a board member since 1980. Prior to that she served as therapist for the weekly socialization and counseling groups at PROJECTtouch. She was a developer and long time member of the Stepfamily Association of America, serving as secretary of the national organization. She holds a Master's degree in Health Education from UCLA and worked on sex and drug issues with incarcerated teenage girls. She also earned a degree in secondary education from Michigan State University and believes that there is no more important venture i n life than the compassionate and effective raising of children.

EARL FEYS, a retired professional correctional worker has been a PROJECTtouch board member since 1977. At various times he has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of this Public Benefit Corporation. He is a long time member of Kiwanis International, a service organization whose primary interest is the children of the world.

NEAL WILLIAMS, an attorney, joined the board of PROJECTtouch in 1984 when he worked in Redondo Beach. He is now Associate General Counsel of St. Jude Medical, Inc.'s Cardiac Rhythm Management Division in Sylmar, a manufacturer of implantable medical devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators. My daytime job involves improving the quality of life, primarily in the later years. But PROJECTtouch is all about improving the quality of a whole life, by properly setting a positive course in the early years.

CAROLE SHAKELEY-PARKMAN, now retired, after working for forty years at North Torrance High School as a government and English teacher, has served on the PROJECTtouch board for fifteen years. She is a member of various Hermosa service organizations and plays the cello.

JIM PARKMAN is a retired literature teacher from Chadwick school. He has been on the PROJECTtouch board for ten years and plays the banjo and the violin.

PAULA MARCKESANO JONES was born in New York City the eldest of 14 children and has experienced six different decades (so far). Concerns about empowering our youth to think critically and live successfully has led me to a career in teaching at-risk high school teens. I joined the board of PROJECTtouch in 2007. I have two wonderful daughters: Yvanna, an elementary teacher in Pittsburg, CA; Nia, a senior in high school.
